Chris Wiley is a man in touch with his mentors.  Both his parents were agriculturalists, but he speaks of time spent with his grandparents as a child, as the driving influence on his interest in flowers and vegetables.

In 2022, he founded Sustainable Plant Store Ltd which specialises in selling sustainable, eco-friendly alternatives to popular plants and garden products.

In May 2022, Chris introduced a new Sweet Pea at Chelsea Flower Show named 'Peter Seabrook' after the late Peter Seabrook, a highly respected and well-known horticulturist who encouraged and guided Chris throughout his career in the industry.  The Sweet Pea was presented to the late Queen Elizabeth II and went on to win the Best New Plant award at BBC Gardeners' World Live in June, one month later.

He is the Coordinator of Bury in Bloom, where he works closely with the community to enhance the local environment.

Chris will be talking about a spring favourite, hellebores, and bringing along some plants for us to buy.
